A 38-year-old man has died after being attacked by a four-metre shark while swimming at Horseshoe Reef near Rottnest Island. Witnesses pulled him onto a boat and transported him to shore at Geordie Bay, where paramedics attempted resuscitation on a jetty. Emergency services, including WA Police, paramedics, and a rescue helicopter, responded after reports of the attack at around 9:55am. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
