A woman has died after being struck by a Holden Rodeo on the northbound lanes of the Pacific Motorway near Beenleigh, between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. According to the Queensland Police Service, two vehicles had pulled over at about 3:40pm after a minor crash so their drivers could exchange details. As one of the drivers, a woman in her 30s, walked back to her vehicle, she was hit by the passing ute. Police initially identified the vehicle as a white Isuzu D-Max, but later clarified that further investigations confirmed it was a beige Holden Rodeo. Emergency services attended the scene, but the woman died from her injuries. Investigators are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage of the multi-vehicle crash to contact the Queensland Police Service as inquiries continue.
